Abstract:
Many companies that develop large complex systems, faces a particular challenge in managing their large number of elicited requirements. Due to resource constraints and time pressure, the effort required to manage and analyse the requirements properly remains an ideal, with consequences on software quality and system acceptance.

In my presentation, I will more deeply describe the situations and challenges faced by some of our industrial partners (Sony Ericsson, Baan, Telelogic). I will present our ongoing research that aims at giving, in particular, the requirements engineers and analysts a better support in the work process through the aid of linguistic engineering techniques. These techniques may mitigate some of the labor-intensive obstacles.
